# 1 - I was really excited about the possibility of this job, but now it has been dashed into the
ground - LOL hahahaha
# 2 - Then it was a complete waste of my time and theirs
# 3 - I may have missed other jobs in which I did not apply for because I was waiting on them.
Well I guess I can just carry on with my life.
It has also been frustating b/c I have been very slow at getting our house unpacked - so this week I have got to get on the ball. It is also frustrating for me with this new house - because I think I should have all the updated new house items to decorate with or to use. I do not need these things, I just think that I do. For some reason I have begun to think that everything has to match. What is this about???
It was a little easier when we had less and less space - (amazingly enough). And when we were in an area where material looks and things did not seem to be a competition, well at least for me anyways. Now that we have moved, I kinda feel like I am having this secret competition with other houses to see whose looks to the best. Where is this pride coming from!?!?! AH! I get so annoyed with myself. God has amazingly blessed us with a house, in the first place, in a time when it's hard to buy a house, it's been remodeled a bit on the inside, we have 6 acres of land with tons of trees, and it has a red front and side door - this house was made for us. But I keep thinking I need "more things". I have had to work on this each day. It is a struggle - although I haven't bought anything extra - but I keep wanting it. What is the deal???
I have been reading Set-Apart Feminity by Leslie Ludy.
Oh, I have to go, church is out and Brent and I are hungry and ready to eat....so I will finish this later....

I Heart Fall!
We have been back in Alabama for 3 months now. It seems hard to believe that we even lived in Texas in August. Brent and I were talking the other day about Texas and our time there was so short! Some days I thought seminary would never, never end and now in some ways, I wish we could have a few moments back. But at the same time, I wouldn't want to go back either.
The Lord has been absolutely incredible the past months at West Point. I told April the other night on the phone that I feel like God is doing everything for us and we are just the hands and feet. We run the errands, set up the things needed, and move our mouths, but God has been orchestrating everything. We have been learning to trust God in a new way and watching how He provides. Early on in seminary, Brent and I were talking about God providing and how faithful He is. For us, at the time, we were learning to depend on God just to pay the rent for the next month. We did a lot of learning to trust God with monetary things. We were wondering about the day when maybe there would be a new way to trust God to provide other than money. And two and half years later, here we are. Well, we still have to trust God with money - for pete's sake, we don't even have our own house yet!
When we came, we thought we wanted to keep a lot of the things the same for awhile, esp. for the youth, b/c it's scary for them when a new guy comes in. But some things just haven't worked out; and not because of us either. Some things were just out of our control and we had to make a plan B. I believe that God wanted to make a few changes here. And He did. So not everything is perfect, but God is here. And He's working. I am thankful God brought us here and that He's letting us be a part of this work He is doing.
side note: this is Destin, the sweetness. My mom had a yard sale Saturday and he is playing outside.

A funny thing happened today.....
I love to take showers. For me, showers are good thinking and dreaming spots, plus I like to be clean. They are refreshing. The shower in our apartment is GREAT! I love it! The only shower that can compare is in the Ramada Inn (in Monroe, LA.) that Brent and I usually stay in on our trips to Alabama. They have the most amazing shower head ever!!!
So anyway, for about the past 2 months, they keep working on our water. Turning it off and on for about 8 hours during the day. This usually creates low pressure in our shower for a day or so. Also the water does not stay at a regulated tempature. It will go from warm to scalding hot for no reason at all. No big deal, but since it kept happening I thought maybe it was something wrong with our shower head. So I called today to ask them if they can check out. She says sure, he'll get to it when he can. Well he evidently had time to get to it today, because tonight when I took a shower instead of the wonderful, waterfall we normally have, the water comes shooting out of the shower head bolting down on you as if it is trying to poke in little holes all over!!! All of sudden Niagara Falls has made a detour to Texas and managed to land in our apartment!! It's freakin' hilarious!! Brent and I were laughing like crazy, he knew what would happen about it b/c he took a shower before I got home. Our maintance man really wanted to make sure that we had plenty of water pressure!!
So if you would like a free acupuncture treatment feel free to come take a shower at our place!!
