I think it went down to about 97 degrees by the time we got to fort worth. Yeah, I know, it was a real cold front! LOL!! HAHA!!

CRAZY!
Dictionary.Com Definition # 10 says that crazy means: "having an unusual, unexpected, or random quality, behavior, result, pattern, etc"
That is exactly how this week has been. Sunday night we were driving home from Alabama talking about two things:
One, our lease is up July 31, so what are we going to do?
Two, we were semi-looking forward to the interview Brent had on Wednesday with the Power Team.
We decided to answer question one on Thursday till after the interview. So, I'm cool with that I can wait 3 days for an interview. It's all good. Seems calm right? Wrong.
Here's what happens:
Monday
1. My co-worker calls and tells me that he talked to church - we will call this church, Church C - and told Church C about Brent and gives me the pastor's email address. Monday night we email the pastor Brent's resume.
Tuesday
2. Brent gets a phone call from Church C pastor. They talk for an hour and half. This church is amazing!!! The pastor has an incredible heart!! The pastor said he is calling a special committee meeting for Wednesday night and they usually only meet on Sundays. Not to mention he told Brent he would be praying for the Power Team interview.
3. Our friend, Tim, called and he gave our information to a church. We haven't heard from them.
4. Another church calls - Church W - for an high school youth pastor job. The youth minister is coming down on the 29th and wants to meet Brent for lunch.
Wednesday
1. Power Team Interview - let's just say things are not as always as they seem. The Lord confirmed with Brent that this was not the ministry for Brent to serve in. If you would like full details, please feel free to call Brent. :)
2. Church C pastor calls to confirm that they are having the committee meeting and if the committee wants to pursue Brent, they will schedule a phone interview for next week.
3. Church A committee member calls. They want to have a phone interview next Tuesday.
4. Brent's resume is on the school's website, Church L pastor gets his resume and emails Brent to get good times to call and to see if Brent is still available. Brent responds yes and gives times.
Thursday (today)
1. The Power Team calls and offers Brent a job. (shocking!) Brent turns the job down.
2. Church C calls! The committee would like to move forward and schedule a phone interview next Wednesday.
3. The pastor of Church L calls and he and Brent talk for a long, long time. This church is also amazing and the pastor also has an incredible heart!!!
4. We go to our mentors and have a great time and ask about having multiple interviews - if that is okay or not??? What is your opinion?
5. We get home from our mentors. There is an email from the pastor of Church L wanting to know if we can come and visit the church for a weekend in August. WHAT!?!?!?
So. That is our week. We thought it would be calm, one interview, two decisions. Wow, how differently it turned out! And it's barely Friday!!! Oh, and we decided to move in with some friends that have been offering that to us for months. Even if we go month to month on this apartment, we have to pay 2 months worth of rent. I don't think so. Esp. not for this place.
Tomorrow, Brent and I are volunteering at our church at the Steven Curtis Chapman concert, so that is going to be great fun! :) The concert will benefit the Mid-Cities Crisis Pregnancy Center. Pray for a great night!!!
Well leave comments.
I'm tired and going to bed. Work should not be allowed to start till 9:00, 8:00 is highly overrated!

Church A wants to know if Brent is still available and says they will call back later this week to set up a phone interview. Okay, that's fine and dandy. Great.

A funny thing happened today.....
I had to call our apartment staff to put in a work order concerning the water pressure in our shower.
I love to take showers. For me, showers are good thinking and dreaming spots, plus I like to be clean. They are refreshing. The shower in our apartment is GREAT! I love it! The only shower that can compare is in the Ramada Inn (in Monroe, LA.) that Brent and I usually stay in on our trips to Alabama. They have the most amazing shower head ever!!!
So anyway, for about the past 2 months, they keep working on our water. Turning it off and on for about 8 hours during the day. This usually creates low pressure in our shower for a day or so. Also the water does not stay at a regulated tempature. It will go from warm to scalding hot for no reason at all. No big deal, but since it kept happening I thought maybe it was something wrong with our shower head. So I called today to ask them if they can check out. She says sure, he'll get to it when he can. Well he evidently had time to get to it today, because tonight when I took a shower instead of the wonderful, waterfall we normally have, the water comes shooting out of the shower head bolting down on you as if it is trying to poke in little holes all over!!! All of sudden Niagara Falls has made a detour to Texas and managed to land in our apartment!! It's freakin' hilarious!! Brent and I were laughing like crazy, he knew what would happen about it b/c he took a shower before I got home. Our maintance man really wanted to make sure that we had plenty of water pressure!!
So if you would like a free acupuncture treatment feel free to come take a shower at our place!!

Ghetto Wrapping
Tuesday, our little friend Titus turned four! Unfortuenly I was sickly and could not attend. We bought Titus a gift, the wrapping paper I picked up I thought was silver, but when I went to wrap the gift, the wrapping paper was clear!!! So we improvised. Since Brent rips phonebooks, we tore sheets of phonebook out and wrapped in "phonebook" and covered it with the clear wrapping paper I bought!! Hahaha! Topped with blue bows and gummy bears! Here's the gift:

1 thing I love about Texas

Yes, shocking, but it's true, I do love certain things about Texas, one of them being - the Arlington Ballpark! We are so close to the Rangers' stadium! The cheap tickets are anywhere from $12 dollars! It's so great! Last Wednesday, which also happens to be half-price and dollar hotdog night, Brent and I went to watch the Rangers and the Braves play. We met up with a few friends and sat with them. The Braves won. I love going to baseball games. I also love concession stand food, wierd, I know, I think it comes from playing in the band during high school. So not only did we get dollar hotdogs, but nachos - cold cheese is my favorite - and a coke.

Changes
Well it's finally June! There are a few changes in our life direction, okay really just one. But we decided (well, really, Brent decided) not to go with Team Impact. They kept telling him different things about working with them this summer. Nothing could ever be nailed down for sure. It was getting pretty frustrating. After all, our lease is up in July and I turned in our notice to our apartment so we have to be out by July 31 and we weren't getting anywhere with Team Impact. So after one phone call, Brent decided it was time to head in a different direction.
Don't get me wrong, we still think Team Impact is a great ministry, but it was not for Brent. The Lord has put together a presentation for Brent to speak and use the strength feats on his own. He has allowed Brent to speak at some many churches and a few schools in the past several months!
About two weeks ago now, Brent with our friend David and the youth group from David's church to do Mission Lab at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. It was AMAZING! Brent's passion for youth was renewed. The youth had a choir tour presentation in which Brent spoke and used a few strenght feats. They did the presentation about 4 times, I think.
So since all this has happened, he has decided to see about different church position possibilities! All this to say that, we might be moving out of Texas!
In all honesty a few weeks ago, the idea of us moving was unthinkable. We have an incredible, incredible church! We have the most amazing friends that we didn't even want to think about leaving. We like Texas for the most part - besides the fact that Texans are confused and think they are part of the south - i think it is all the heat gone to their head! - the plan was to move a closer to our church and Brent's job. So we would be living about 30 -45 minutes away from where we live now. We could set up shop for real.
But now the idea of moving is not so infathomable. In fact it sounds exciting! :) New places, new friends, new ministries, a new start!Ironically a few of our friends might have some changes coming in their lives and so we all might be changing at the same time!
I don't know what will happen. Whatever happens, I hope it all takes place before July 31! I have learned that whenever God wants to do something, after all the players are in place, thing move rather swiftly! :) So I hope these players are in place!
Maybe we will move, maybe we will stay here. So when you think about us, please pray for us.
I'll keep you posted!

Graduation Party

GRADUATION PICS
Hallelujah! It actually happened! I know, I can't believe it! Graduation!
Today, June 14 - Brent went to the school library to check out a book for a friend and he couldn't! Why? Because he is no longer a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary!
(the chorus rings again: Hallelujah!) It was rather humorous!
Graduation took place on Southwestern's front lawn on May 9, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
It was a grand graduation, after which we celebrated with a few friends and our families by eating at Babe's restaurant! Later in the evening a party was held at the Warner's.
Girl's Luncheon

My friend Sandra, is a very inspiring person. She creates the most interesting greeting cards and invitations, the most unique presents (for every occassion), and the most fun group games at parties or for games to teach children, the most intelligent theme parties (along with Jessica).
One of these particular parties she hosted was on May 3, 2008. A luncheon for her friends.
